We have all been to Daytona or maybe even South Beach. Some like the Outer Banks others prefer Virginia Beach. What is one thing that we all like no matter what the location is? That’s right beautiful weather and great beaches. Well the great state or South Carolina has that and so much more to offer you and me. Myrtle Beach is probably a place we have all heard of and most likely wanted to stop by at one time or another. Now is the time, gone are the comments of “it's not big enough”, or “Daytona is better because you can drive on the beach.” With shutting down over half of the beach to cars, Myrtle Beach is now just like Daytona.
Myrtle Beach has an aquarium owned by Ripley’s, the believe-it-or-not people. This aquarium is ranked in the top five of all aquariums in the United States. Since opening in 1997 the aquarium has had over 10 million visitors walk through its doors and thousands of different fish and sea creatures have swam in its tanks. Have you ever wanted to sleep with the sharks? True, not something that you may think about in the water but what if you could sleep in an enclosure completely dry from the sea water and protected from all the sharks. What if you could watch as the sharks went about their business throughout the evening while you stared at them from the enclosure? From ages 5-95 this can be a reality for you and 14 of your friends.
Wild Waters and Wheels is yet another one of those great family adventures. Do your kids like bumper boats? Maybe they like go karts or water slides. The list of things to do is endless; they can even play 18 holes of mini golf. What about mom and dad? Have you ever gone on a dolphin cruise? You can in Myrtle Beach. Just head down to Captain Dick’s, who has some great deep sea fishing trips designed for the fisherman in all of us. There is even an overnight trip out to the Gulf Stream.
Myrtle Beach is still that quiet, clean little city on the ocean, but now it’s got what you and I have always wanted along with that.
